Youth Programs

Every Monday, Starting 9/16/24. 

*Tot Time is not held when Grain Valley Schools are not in session (either due to scheduled days off or inclement weather)

Kids ages 0- PreK can explore and discover in our large indoor gym and come together to build & develop friendships! We have interactive, inflatable bouncers to play on! 

Parents can make new friends and mingle while the kids play! 

The cost is $2 per child, children 1 and under & adults are FREE!

YOU MUST CALL TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT FOR TOT TIME EACH MONDAY.

PLEASE CALL THE COMMUNITY CENTER AT 816-847-6230 BY 10:00AM EACH MONDAY TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT. 

WE MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 5 PARTICIPANT RESERVATIONS BY 10:00AM IN ORDER TO PROCEED WITH THE PROGRAM FOR THAT DAY. 

AT THE TIME OF RESERVATION WE WILL TAKE YOUR CELL PHONE NUMBER. IN THE EVENT THAT WE DON'T GET ENOUGH RESERVATIONS FOR THAT DAY, WE WILL SEND A TEXT BY 10:15 ON MONDAY TO LET YOU KNOW THAT TOT TIME HAS BEEN CANCELED FOR THAT DAY.

Little Dragons Class - $50

Children age 3 to 5 years old.

4:15pm - 4:45pm

Stranger Danger is greatly emphasized. Classes are designed to improve coordination, instill self-esteem and teach basic Karate skills through games & age-appropriate activities.

Beginning Karate Class - $60

Children 6 & UP 

4:45pm - 5:30pm 

Karate promotes self-discipline, self-esteem, confidence, and academic excellence while teaching self-defense, sportsmanship, and fun.

Classes are held every Tuesday from October 8th - November 26th.

Preschool Players is a 6-week parent interactive program that focuses on skill development and fun! This program will rotate participants through stations that focus on the major skills of the game. Parents/guardians will be asked to be station volunteers.

The fees includes a t-shirt and a medal for each player!
Please have participants wear comfortable clothing, and comfortable athletic shoes, and bring a bottle of water to each class.

Every Saturday from November 2nd - December 14th 

2 Session choices:

9:00-10:00 am

or

10:00-11:00 am

Join us for 6 creative playdates designed for 3 to 6-year-olds! Each session will include story time, crafts, a snack and play time all based on a fun preschool theme. Mini Munchkins is designed to spark creativity and promote socialization. Dress to get messy. A parent/adult will need to stay with the child and enjoy the fun!

When: Each session will be held from 5:45pm – 6:45pm
Where: Grain Valley Community Center 
Fee: $10.00 Per Child/Per Session 

Grain Valley Parks & Recreation and The Missouri Department of Conservation invites 1st - 4th graders to join us at the Grain Valley Pavilion located behind the Community Center on October 24th from 10:00 am - 11:00 am
to slither, crawl, hop, or swim into the exciting world of Missouri’s amphibians and reptiles! These cold-blooded animals are unique, diverse, and essential to our ecosystem.
Join us as we learn about these wonderful creatures. Plus, we will get a chance to meet some!
This is a FREE event but registration is required. 
Registration ends October 21st
