Youth Programs

Every Monday, Starting 9/16/24. 

*Tot Time is not held when Grain Valley Schools are not in session (either due to scheduled days off or inclement weather)

Kids ages 0- PreK can explore and discover in our large indoor gym and come together to build & develop friendships! We have interactive, inflatable bouncers to play on! 

Parents can make new friends and mingle while the kids play! 

The cost is $2 per child, children 1 and under & adults are FREE!

YOU MUST CALL TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT FOR TOT TIME EACH MONDAY.

PLEASE CALL THE COMMUNITY CENTER AT 816-847-6230 BY 10:00AM EACH MONDAY TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT. 

WE MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 5 PARTICIPANT RESERVATIONS BY 10:00AM IN ORDER TO PROCEED WITH THE PROGRAM FOR THAT DAY. 

AT THE TIME OF RESERVATION WE WILL TAKE YOUR CELL PHONE NUMBER. IN THE EVENT THAT WE DON'T GET ENOUGH RESERVATIONS FOR THAT DAY, WE WILL SEND A TEXT BY 10:15 ON MONDAY TO LET YOU KNOW THAT TOT TIME HAS BEEN CANCELED FOR THAT DAY.

Get ready to get your hands dirty and unleash your inner artist with local ceramics guru Don Fethkenher and his talented team! You'll be guided through a fun, step-by-step process of crafting not one, but TWO custom ceramic trays – perfect for keeping or gifting to the special moms or mother figures in your life, just in time for Mother’s Day! Don't miss out on this creative, hands-on experience!

Grain Valley Parks & Recreation and The Missouri Department of Conservation invites you to join us for Beginning Archery!

Archery is a fun and safe sport that ANYONE can do! Participants will learn the steps to archery success, practice several rounds of shooting, and engage in friendly competition! This is available for anyone ages 6 and up. Registration is required for anyone planning to practice archery.

An adult must accompany children under the age of 16**.

All equipment will be provided; closed-toe shoes are recommended

Grain Valley Parks & Recreation and Releve Performing Arts have partnered to bring you a one-day dance camp class that is a great way to introduce your child to the basics in the world of dance! 

Registration ends April 3rd, 2025.

3-6

Children ages 2-10 are invited to join the Bunny Brigade and help find the Easter Bunny’s Stolen eggs! Traverse through Armstrong Park and find all the missing eggs to see what the Easter Bunny will award his Brave Bunny Bridgaders!

We will start at Armstrong Pavilion (behind the Community Center) at 1:30. 

There will be crafts, storytime, an egg hunt and a bounce house! 

The Grain Valley Parks & Recreation Department will host Tennis Lessons this summer at the Grain Valley High School Tennis Courts. Classes will be taught by GVHS Coach Draper and will be grouped by age utalizing areas of the courts. Each sub-group will concentrate on age-related tennis techniques, skills and drills, in addition to fun and good sportsmanship.

Each session is two weeks in length (8) classes, Monday through Thursday mornings with Friday only used for any make-up classes due to weather. 

Participants must supply their own water and tennis racket. (There will be a very limited number of small rackets available to use)

Ages: 6 Years and Older
When: 8:00am - 9:00am

• Session 1: June 2 - June 12 (8 Classes) - *Early Bird Registration ends May 15. A late fee will be applied to registration after May 15, if space allows. The last day to register will be May 29! 
•  Session 2: June 16 - June 26 (8 Classes) - *Early Bird Registration ends June 7. A late fee will be applied to registration after  June 7, if space allows. The last day to register will be June 13!

Fee: $65.00 Per Child For One 8-Class Session ($10 off 2nd session after paid 1st session)
