Youth Programs

Join us for 6 creative playdates designed for 3 to 6-year-olds! Each session will include story time, crafts, a snack and play time all based on a fun preschool theme. Mini Munchkins is designed to spark creativity and promote socialization. Dress to get messy. A parent/adult will need to stay with the child and enjoy the fun!

3. Jingle Bell Jam  ~  Wednesday, December 17
4. Shine Bright in the New Year  ~  Wednesday, January 14
5. Hugs & Hearts  ~  Wednesday, February 11
6. You Shamrock My World  ~  Wednesday, March 11
When: Each session will be held from 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Where: Grain Valley Community Center 
Fee: $10.00 Per Child/Per Session

Every Monday, Starting 9/22/25. 

*Tot Time is not held when Grain Valley Schools are not in session (either due to scheduled days off or inclement weather)

Kids ages 0- PreK can explore and discover in our large indoor gym and come together to build & develop friendships! We have interactive, inflatable bouncers to play on! 

Parents can make new friends and mingle while the kids play! 

The cost is $3 per child, children 1 and under & adults are FREE!

PLEASE CALL THE COMMUNITY CENTER AT 816-847-6230 BY 10:00AM EACH MONDAY TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT. 

WE MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 8 PARTICIPANT RESERVATIONS BY 10:00AM IN ORDER TO PROCEED WITH THE PROGRAM FOR THAT DAY. 

AT THE TIME OF RESERVATION WE WILL TAKE YOUR CELL PHONE NUMBER. IN THE EVENT THAT WE DON'T GET ENOUGH RESERVATIONS FOR THAT DAY, WE WILL SEND A TEXT BY 10:15 ON MONDAY TO LET YOU KNOW THAT TOT TIME HAS BEEN CANCELED FOR THAT DAY.

Make this season extra special by stopping by the Holiday Village for storytime and hot cocoa!

Mrs. Claus will entertain children big and small with her favorite Christmas stories and will gladly take photos with guests

(so parents – be sure to bring your camera for this great photo opportunity)!

Join us for a jolly good time filled with crafty creations, a candy cane treasure hunt, warm hot chocolate, and heaps of Holiday cheer!

We'll kick things off in the Community Center Gymnasium before embarking on an epic quest to Armstrong Park, where Santa's mischievous elves have stashed candy canes galore!

Don't forget to dress for the weather!

Grain Valley Parks & Recreation and The Missouri Department of Conservation invites elementary age kids to join us at the Grain Valley Pavilion located behind the Community Center on January 31st from 10:00 am - 11:00 am
to slither, crawl, hop, or swim into the exciting world of Missouri’s amphibians and reptiles! These cold-blooded animals are unique, diverse, and essential to our ecosystem.
Join us as we learn about these wonderful creatures. Plus, we will get a chance to meet some!
This is a FREE event but registration is required. 

Space is limited so while this is a FREE event you will still need to register.

Registration ends January 30th.
