Winding Creek Water Main Break

The City of Grain Valley Public Works Division is responding to a water main break near NW Broadway Street and NW Jackie Avenue, which has impacted water service in the Winding Creek subdivision.
After locating the leak this evening, the crew discovered that an 8-inch tee fitting and valve needed to be removed. This repair is more extensive than originally anticipated, as it requires cutting multiple pipes and reinstalling all components. We expect water to be restored within the next hour and a half (approximately 9:00 p.m. on 1/27).
Once service is restored, the system will be flushed. We appreciate everyone’s patience while this repair is being completed.
