TRAFFIC AT I-70 BRIDGE REMINDER
Whether you live and/or work in Grain Valley or just passing through the city, we want to thank you for your patience with the bridge replacement project over I-70. We recognize that this project has just started, and we’ve heard your concerns regarding traffic concerns in this area.
We want to remind motorists to slow down and pay attention in work zones. We are working with MoDOT to improve the signage - with more signs scheduled to be posted by the end of this week. In the map attached to this post, motorists are advised that the initial inner lanes to turn left are closed. If you need to get onto I-70, you may use the initial middle lane as a (left) turning lane in the direction of the stop light. If you are needing to travel north and southbound on Route AA/BB (Main Street), please use the outside lane to go straight.
Again, thank you for your patience. According to MoDOT, this will be a three-phase project, and we will continue to work with them to provide the best communication and safety plan for motorists.
