Summary
The primary function of an employee in this position is to work at City concession stands located at athletic fields and the City's Aquatic Center.Essential Functions
- Assists park and/or Aquatic Center patrons with food and beverage needs
- Cash handling of concession funds
- Maintain concession and restroom inventory
- Maintain concession stands, equipment and restroom facility sanitation
- Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with City policies and procedures
- Works in a safe manner and reports unsafe activities, conditions and faulty equipment
- Follows City-wide safety policy and practices and adheres to responsibilities concerning safety prevention, reporting and monitoring as outlined in the City's Loss Control Handbook
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Essential Knowledge, Experience, and Ability
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age
- Must have a valid Missouri Driver's License or ability to obtain upon employment
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Must obtain certification as a food handler through the Jackson County Health Department immediately upon employment
- High School diploma or GED equivalency
- One (1) or more years concession or food service experience
- Concession or food service supervisory experience
- A certified food handler through the Jackson County Health Department

- Count money

- Operate hand cleaning equipment including, but not limited to, brooms, dust and wet mops, squeegees, hand vacuums, dust pans, and dusters

- The primary duties of this position are performed in an indoor-outdoor public building environment and include use of electrically powered equipment and cleaning substances that may involve related hazards
- Sufficient strength to lift and carry objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds for varying distances, maneuver powered equipment
- Stand for periods of time as directed through the schedule, and to adapt to and move between work stations and job tasks on a single shift
- Sufficient body flexibility and balance to perform cleaning operations which require repeated bending and stooping motions
- Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Sufficient clarity of hearing, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to discern and dispense verbal instructions and interact with the general public
- Sufficient visual acuity, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to comprehend written material and instructions and discern, supervise, and react to physical activities
