Central Jackson County Fire Protection District

The Central Jackson County Fire Protection District serves the City of Grain Valley and surrounding areas. Their team consists of 36 firefighters who are EMT or paramedic trained and certified in responding to basic hazardous materials. In addition to fire and EMS services, they provide community risk reduction programs. Central Jackson County Emergency Management Agency

Central Jackson County Emergency Management Agency (CJCEMA) consists of the Central Jackson County Fire Protection District and the cities of Blue Springs, Grain Valley, Lake Tapawingo, and surrounding unincorporated areas. Each CJCEMA member provides emergency preparedness planning for their area.

Grain Valley School District

The Grain Valley School District serves the City of Grain Valley residents as their public school district. They have received national acclamation for their high standards of academics. Jackson County Sheriff's Department

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department serves as dispatch for Grain Valley residents for non-emergency police matters that do not occur between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Grain Valley Chamber of Commerce

The City of Grain Valley works closely with the Grain Valley Chamber of Commerce, which serves residents and businesses throughout the area with resources for community growth, business connections, and community events.

OATS Transit

OATS Transit is available for senior citizens, age 65+ and individuals age 18-64, who have a disability. Riders must be Grain Valley residents. Fees are only $1 per trip. Rides can be scheduled for Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Reservations should be made at least 24 hours in advance by calling 816-380-7433.
