After months of anticipation and construction, the Grain Valley Police Department is thrilled to announce the completion of its new state-of-the-art police headquarters. To celebrate this milestone achievement, the City will have public tours on Wednesday, May 8th, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the new facility located at 719 NW R.D. Mize Road, Grain Valley, MO 64029.

The construction of the new police station comes as a result of overwhelming support from voters who approved the measure for a new facility in Spring 2022. The need for a modernized headquarters became evident as the police department, which currently shares a facility with several city departments, has outgrown its space due to a doubling in staff size since the original construction in 2001.

Designed in collaboration with architects from Hoefer Welker and constructed by McCown Gordon Construction of Kansas City, the new headquarters promises to provide essential updates and enhancements to support the police department's operational needs. Notable features include an upgraded property storage area, a juvenile holding area, ample space for officers to complete reports, holding cells that meet state statutes, and a dedicated training room for both officers and community use.
