The City of Grain Valley will be hosting its first ever photo contest to showcase all that the community has to offer. Participants of all age groups are welcome. This photo contest serves as a fun way to highlight our parks/trails, culture, neighborhoods, and talented photographers!

When:  The contest will run from Tuesday, July 12th through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, August 14th.

Theme: Hometown Pride - What do you love about this community? What makes Grain Valley home? Showcase your hometown pride with the following categories:

  • Nature Adventures (ex. wildlife, pets enjoying trails in GV, sunrises/sunsets, landscapes, etc.)
  • People of Grain Valley (ex. people enjoying the city such as fishing, biking, participating in Parks and Recreation events, and visiting local businesses)
  • Making Main Street (With the revitalization of the Downtown District, let’s highlight the aesthetic of the Downtown Grain Valley.)
  • Drone Shots
  • Young Photographer (15 and under)
